Wow!! What exciting news to discover right before Thanksgiving. The Raspberry Pi Foundation has just released its newest model of the Raspberry Pi: the Pi Zero. It has most of the functionality of the other models, but is a lot smaller and costs only $5. I got incredibly excited reading about this! It was initially hard for me to start Pi á la Code because raising money for 15 $35 computers with all the peripherals was a lot of money for me. However, this significant price drop leads me to believe that other people will start taking these computers to remote locations. This product has so much potential to reach so many people. So pumped to tinker with it, Ive just ordered one!

P.S. Stay tuned: I will be writing on Pi á la Code in the official Raspberry Pi blog in December!
